HSE Series Slewing Drive for Heavy-Duty Applications

The HSE slewing drive features hourglass worm drive technology and a multi-gear contact hourglass worm structure, offering excellent impact resistance and precision for applications requiring maximum gear torque and stable rotation. With an open housing design and a self-locking worm, this slewing drive securely locks the load in place when the power input returns to neutral, eliminating the need for external braking devices. This makes the SE slewing drive ideal for precise rotation applications.

HSE Series Slewing Drive: High-Performance Rotary Transmission Solution

Overview of HSE Series Slewing Drive
The HSE slewing drive, also known as the slewing gear device, SE slewing drive device, slewing reducer, or slewing table, is a full-circle slewing reduction transmission mechanism that integrates a driving power source. The main components of the HSE slewing drive include the slewing bearing, worm gear, casting base, and standard parts such as bearings and bolts. The use of wheel axle motion in the HSE slewing drive reduces force consumption and provides safety protection.

The HSE slewing drive is designed to use the slewing bearing as the driving follower and mechanism attachment. By connecting an active component, driving source, and cover to one of the inner and outer rings of the slewing bearing, the other ring serves as both the driving follower and the connecting base for the driven working component. This fully utilizes the slewing bearing's function as a full-circle slewing connector, integrating the driving power source and main transmission components for a combination of rotation, deceleration, and driving.

Features of HSE Series Slewing Drive

  • Hourglass Worm Technology: The HSE slewing drive utilizes hourglass worm drive technology with a multi-gear contact hourglass worm structure. This design provides excellent impact resistance and is ideal for applications requiring maximum gear torque and stable rotation.

  • Self-Locking Mechanism: A standard slewing drive is equipped with an open housing and a single self-locking hourglass worm. When the power input returns to the neutral position, the worm locks the load in place without the need for an external braking device. This feature ensures that the HSE slewing drive is an ideal solution for applications requiring precise relative rotation between two objects.

  • Versatile Design: The HSE series slewing drives are designed for heavy-duty applications like cranes and are typically built with a low-cost closed design featuring lip seals, slewing ring components, 360-degree rotation, and self-locking gear sets. Some models feature a double worm gear design to enhance torque capacity.

  • Weather Resistance: These slewing drives are suitable for operation in high humidity environments, ensuring they remain functional even under harsh conditions such as heavy rainstorms.
